Mainport Edge

Irish Mainport Holdings are delighted to confirm purchase of another new ship called Mainport Edge which closed early this morning in Fujian, China. Mainport Edge will be classed as 2023 new build, is 60 M LOA in contrast to Mainport Geo which is 50 M LOA and this ship will be utilised in the European offshore wind sector. We have a technical team of 5 people in the shipyard for the last few weeks, and our senior technical manager Vince Gallagher will remain at the yard for the next week while we change to new BV Class, to be consistent with rest of ships in Irish Mainport Holdings. Our plan is to then sail our ship to Turkey for various planned upgrades and improvements to make the ship ideal for the offshore wind survey sector.
